Shredder received several responses to the Feb. 20 “Spay a ho, neuter a bro” column, all from members of the Cal Poly Greek community. Authors of letters that were critical of the piece declined to allow their words to appear in print; they were content merely to give Shredder advice on how to write future “articles” and seriously hoped that their words would help our longtime columnist to gain some valuable career insight that could someday lead to stepping up to a “Big League” newspaper.
One writer, however, who went by “Zach,” had this to say—and was fine seeing it in New Times:
“As a member of the Greek Community at Cal Poly, this article was hilarious. And also as a writer, I envy your ability to humorously insult without taking serious ad hominem jabs.
“Keep telling it like it is.”
