Panga Boat Bust 9/6

Weekly Poll
Should police be allowed to use surplus military equipment?

Cheap or free gear for local police? Sounds good to me.
No. Police are meant to serve the people, not to threaten them.
If they use it properly I don’t see any reason why not, but I don’t feel comfortable seeing cops with assault rifles.
Nothing says democracy like a bayonet to the butt.

Show some respect, Gibson

Michael Fallon - Cayucos

How nice that Gibson’s best friend is running for his seat on the BOS (“Candidate announces aims for 2nd District supervisor,” Oct. 17). Will his friend “drop out” after the filing for candidates deadline passes?

Maybe this is just another Gibson scam that will allow him to run unopposed?

Maybe Gibson thinks that this will help the voters forget his lack of integrity and publicly funded affair with his “impossible to replace” subordinate?

Gibson should show some respect for the public he failed to serve and step down. He can’t expect all the voting public to be that stupid, can he?

Message to Gibson: “Hey pal, go home to your little cupcake and enjoy your “matter of the heart.’”
