Panga Boat Bust 9/6

Weekly Poll
What should San Luis Obispo do with John Ryan Mason now that he's been reinstated?

Continue to give him a break, everyone almost kills somebody once in a while.
Assign him to Dalmatian pooper-scooper duty.
Stay the reinstatement course, but end Charlie Hines' carte blanche with picking favorites.
Let Dan Carpenter duke it out with him in a winner-take-all bare-knuckle brawl.

ANOTHER TYPE OF GROOVE
April 3 (7:30PM)

Another Type of Groove Celebrates Pride Month with Poet Tatyana Brown on April 3 at Cal Poly SAN LUIS OBISPO – The Cal Poly MultiCultural Center’s “Another Type of Groove: Spoken Word Poetry” celebrates Pride Month with Los Angeles based poet Tatyana Brown at 7:30pm on Wednesday, April 3 in Chumash Auditorium. Tatyana Brown is a traveling performer, educator, organizer, and activist focused on reawakening audiences to the power (both emotional and political) of the oral tradition. Using humor, honesty, and imagery-driven cathartic moments crafted through an approach that bridges the genres of magical realism and confessional work, her poetry challenges audiences and readers alike to imagine transcending cultural patterns of violence and inequity. Another Type of Groove is a spoken-word poetry event held the first Wednesday of each month throughout the school year. Each event includes a feature poet and an open mic opportunity for interested community members and students. The event is free and open to the public.
