This class takes place on Sun. and is taught by a professional film actor/director. Annual LA trips to perform for talent agents and casting directors. Ongoing.
THE UNIVERSITY ART GALLERY
(Gallery hours are Tues.-Sat. 11am-4pm)
is a venue that nurtures creativity, empathy, and big-picture thinking by bringing bold thinkers, emerging and established artists, and creative professionals to campus. Receptions are held the day a new exhibit is installed.
A historic living museum of a Victorian home circa 1880 with original furnishings and ongoing events. Tour the historic and elegant Victorian Jack House for $2.

February 1 (Noon)
On Feb. 1 the Noontime Downtown Brown Bag Concert welcomes friends of Brown Bag, "The Mudskippers," playing traditional Mardi Gras music. Bring your Mardi Gras beads, umbrellas/parasols, white handkerchiefs or fans, and join in the Second Line. Concert begins at noon and doors open at 11:45am. Fair Trade coffee and chocolate available.

See original pieces from local artists: Lena Rushing, Joshua Jesse, Scott Osburn, Lisa Harrison, Isaac Yorke, Sawdust, Miss Becky, Lakin, Hamilton, Steve Taggard, and Danny Derrick. Music by D.J. Art After Dark is a free, self-guided tour of galleries and non-traditional art venues (think coffee shops, jewelers, churches, etc.) showcasing the work of local visual, literary, and performing artists. Held the first Friday of the month in downtown San Luis Obispo, it’s an evening of art, community and culture! Feb. 1, 6-9pm. Art After Dark is a program of ARTS Obispo.

Free sessions of light and tone will be offered the first Friday of each month from 11:00am to 2:00pm at the Santa Margarita Community Hall, on the corner of I Street and Murphy Street. Ecstatic Dance in the Morning with Tobey: This fun dance class combines a warm up with stretching & qi gong leading into a metabolism boosting 30+ minute wave of eclectic 5 Rhythms dancing a la Gabrielle Roth and Soul Motion with Vinn Marti. We then end with a soulful cool down that brings a good vibrational tune up to the rest of your day. Mon Weds Fri 8:30-9:30 am. $5 per class or $50 for the month. Amethyst Annex 604 Main St Cambria. Sunday Dec 9th, 10 am we'll meet for a longer class $8.

On Feb. 1, an all-day conference will be held at Cuesta College on bullying. It is geared towards high school-aged youth, early childhood and K-12 educators, youth-serving professionals, and others interested in bringing about positive changes in their schools and communities.
