ARROYO GRANDE CENTENNIAL CELEBRATION
Announcements (Times vary) The countdown begins July 10. In one year the City of Arroyo Grande will be celebrating their 100th year anniversary. A Centennial Committee has been formed and a variety of events are being planned which will begin in July 2011 and continue throughout the year culminating with a celebration weekend in July including a parade, bike ride, historical re-enactments, a community-wide dinner/dance, and fireworks. Community members are encouraged to visit and join the Facebook page to post their comments, Arroyo Grande memories and to keep up-to-date with activities and information. The Centennial Committee is looking for celebration and event ideas which can also be submitted on the Facebook page. July 24 (11am-4pm) The Feline Network has cats and kittens available for adoption every Saturday at PETCO in the Madonna Plaza Shopping Center in San Luis Obispo. There are many loving and adorable felines to choose from. Cats and kittens are spayed or neutered, tested and vaccinated prior to adoption. The adoption fee is $60 for one or $80 for two. A free vet examination is included.
