Valentine Swing Dance
February 14 (6-9 pm) The popular annual Valentine’s Swing Dance will once again be hosted by the Grover Beach Community Library on Thursday, February 14, 2013, at the Grover City Grange Hall, 370 So.13th Street, Grover Beach, from 6 to 9 pm. This gala event will feature a gourmet barbecued hamburger dinner with all of the trimmings and a root beer float for dessert; wine and beer will be available. Vegetarian hamburgers will be available. The local, popular Jimmy Enos band will play a mixture of swing and soft rock for listening and dancing pleasure. Library Board President, Nan Fowler, said, “This is our annual fund raising event which helps us with the library operation; and you know, we all have such a good time with friends and meeting new people at the dance; we sold out last year so I suggest you order your tickets soon.” Proceeds go towards the annual cost of operation of the library: rent, utilities, supplies and maintenance. The library, located at 240 N. 9th Street, Grover Beach, is a non profit, free library operated by volunteers and private donations. For tickets at $20 per person or donations, call Carol, 473-3457.
