2009 Events

July 3—PRIDE Art Reception (Part of Art After Dark) at the new GALA Center, 1060 Palm Street in San Luis Obispo from 6–9 p.m. All ages, free admission, donations welcomed. Artwork may be purchased.  Refreshments will be served.

July 4
—Beach Barbecue at Pismo State Beach, west end of Grand, Grover Beach from 1-10 p.m. All ages, free admission, donations welcomed.  Food will be served.

July 10—Life Is a Cabaret at Downtown Brew, 1119 Garden Street in San Luis Obispo from 7–10 p.m. Over 21 only.  Tickets are $20, available online at slopride.com or call 541-4252.

July 11—An Afternoon of Awareness: Screening of Ma Vie En Rose and panel discussion on gender at the Ludwick Community Center, 864 Santa Rosa in San Luis Obispo from 1–4 p.m. All ages, free admission, donations welcomed.

The Indigo Girls 
perform live at the Cal Poly Performing Arts Center, 1 Grand Avenue in San Luis Obispo at 8 p.m. All ages. $32-$48. Tickets: slopride.com, pacslo.org or call 756-2787.

Pride Dance at Native Lounge, 1023 Chorro Street in San Luis Obispo,10 p.m.–2 a.m. Over 21 only. $10 cover at the door, first come, first served.

July 12—13th Annual Pride in the Plaza, featuring the Sugar Daddy Swing Kings, Josh Zuckerman, and ’80s singing idol Tiffany. Also a special appearance of the AIDS Memorial Quilt and its founder, Cleve Jones, brought to you by ASN. San Luis Obispo Mission Plaza, at Monterey and Chorro Streets from noon-5:30 p.m. All ages, free admission.

Pride Celebration - Novo Restaurant, 726 Higuera, SLO, 5:30 p.m -???. DJ, dancing, and free admission.
