Weekly Poll
Should oil companies be allowed to drill off the coast in SLO County?

Who are we to stand in the way of a company's profits? Drill away!
Yes but we should be sensitive to environmental concerns and only allow a few drilling operations.
No. It's environmentally destructive and the costs of a spill would be disastrous for SLO County.
No. I'd hate to see the view from our beaches spoiled by ugly oil platforms.

Buy that DIY

By RYAH COOLEY

You may not have what it takes to craft DIY Pinterest-worthy creations, but you can buy it from those who do at the Mojo Flea + Makers Market on April 29 in SLO.

The event will be held downtown at Ruby Rose from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Enjoy a curated collaboration of vintage flea market finds and contemporary artisan makers’ pop-ups with specialty treats and music. Bring cash as not all vendors will accept other forms of payment. Attendees are also encouraged to bring their own reusable bags for purchases. Visit mojomeetsmakers.com for more information.
